I would like ones made out of fire retardant foam that will not burn or sink. Mine have a bad tendancy to do both. [:'(]

While you are at it, modify a US tank in SpWaW to have enough armor and a big enough main gun to stand up to a Tiget and maybe, just maybe, I will stop playing Germany.

That's already been done... It's called a Pershing. But I assume you'll want one on 12/7/41, for the cost of an M2 light tank?

Yes, and I want it with the speed of a Panther for the cost of a half track. Mass production should have reduced the cost. [:D]

Really, how much are you modding your scenario? Is it based on anything historical or just for fun?

Partly historical, but mostly for fun. Adding and removing a ton of ships, classes, aircraft, LCU's, devices. I've gotten so far into it, I've lost track of all the changes I've made. I conveniently "forgot" to document from the beginning...

if this is what you want. why give them more bombers than fighters?
I know a good offense is a good defense but its most likely too late by late 44
maybe 12 fighters 6 bombers would be better, more like there US counter parts have.

more light carriers with smaller air groups, suitable for convoy escorting and defensive operations

Because they're mainly meant to be fighting submarines. Maybe I'll make it 8 to 12. An additional problem is that Japan might not be able to produce enough aircraft for them...

May we copy them and try them in a mini-mod?

Good luck. Don't be afraid of the editor even though it looks very foreboding. It can be wrestled into obedience.

Personally, I think I'd rather bomb it into submission.

Here's my first rough draft for the Type 20-20, or Kobe Maru class, as I've named her. As for air group composition, I'm thinking Zeros and Kates at a 1-2 ratio.

Hi Terminus, will carriers function properly that far down the order in the ships database? I know they really start to act screwy when you get them past the destroyers.

The Kobe Maru isn't past the destroyers. It's close, but... They should work, but I haven't strictly speaking tested them.

Plus, slot#41 is used in the stock game for the Ibuki class CVL, so it should work. I've run two tests, however, and the first one (in slot#41) did act a bid odd. The second one (moved to slot#35) seemed to work better.

Two tests are hardly statistically significant, but somehow I'm finding it hard to gather up the energy to run 20 or 30 at the moment...[8|]

I've been meddling with the Japanese carriers in my mod, removing several, am now considering what they should be replaced with, and would like to hear people's opinions.

A bunch of these + Akizuki DDs.
