HQ Support Squads question

Post by fbastos »

Good morning,

Say that a Div HQ would have 40 support squads if I set the Formation Supply Distribution Efficiency to 100%.... but, instead of setting 40 spport squads, I set it to 2 authorized support squads, so the Div HQ lists as

etc...
Support squads......................... 2/2
etc...

The manual reads "If the HQ... still has its full compliment of support squads assigned, the usual formation supply distribution efficiency is used.".

Therefore, will the HQ supply units the same way whether it has 2/2 support squads or 40/40 support squads? Of course, they will behave differently if the HQ loses 1 support squad (efficiency would be 50% first case, and 99.5% second case).

Thanks!
I'm running out of jokes...

The formation supply level will be (number of assigned support squads)/(hard coded value for unit size icon).

So in the case of your unit with 2/2 support squads, it will have 5% formation supply, just the same as if it had 2/40.

If you want to have fewer support squads in the HQ then try using a smaller unit size icon.

"War Studies"
"War? Huh. What is it good for?"
"Absolutely nothing."
