Association Expansion ?

Is there a way to change the number of divisions or the playoff structure once a league is created? I started with a sandlot MLB type association & experimented with expansion. The smallest choice was to go to 40 team. Each league (American & National) now has 2 divisions with 10 teams. The playoffs have no wild card - just the 2 division winners. s there a way I can chage each league to 4 divisions? What about having a wild card for playoffs.

Also, is there a way to manage an expansion team prior to the expansion - i.e. do the drafting for an expansion team?

wlf I havnt done it myself but at the end of each season , as long as you have "allow expansion" checked in your assn options, puresime will ask if you "want to expand the association at this time?" I think you only get one choice. Maybe someone else can weigh in on this.

To clarify, I did expand.  What I have not been able to do is change the structure of the leagues - have 4 divisions per league instead of 2 or take over an expansion team prior to the expansion draft.  If it is not possible to do this, I would add it to new features for the next version.

Would be good if under 'Options', you also had the opportunity to select/deselect the 'Closer' option.  IOW, it won't automatically upgrade to Closer league status in the offseason when simming multiple seasons on auto-sim.

I have a similar problem. Having expanded several times from my 24-team association, I find that I now have four divisions of five teams, one division of four teams and one division of six teams.

I don't have any idea why it didn't move one of the six teams to the four-teamer, but it didn't.

I dont see an option to "allow expansion."

The option to allow expansion was added in version 1.1  You can enable it any time by going to association options.
