Canuck,

I'm moving this to the support sub-forum.

My first guess is that you may have unchecked one of the required components in the installer. Did you uncheck either the DirectX or .NET installation? If so, please uninstall and reinstall making sure you keep those checked.

Yes I did-the one that asks me if I want Direct X 9.0 C installed. I thought that maybe I didnt need it because i already had it. Anyways I'll give it a try.

Ok, Canuck, please give that a try. If it still doesn't work, please follow the instructions in this forum to post a DxDiag file and the game's Log file for us and we'll figure out what's going on.

Yes I did-the one that asks me if I want Direct X 9.0 C installed.

The thing is, it needs Managed DirectX of a particular revision in order to work. Most people don't have that installed so it's important to keep both of those checked to allow them to install.

The real error message will be in the log file, you need to post it.

I am having problem starting games. Each time I get to the start screen, choose a scenario, pick my units and try to start the game and it automatically throws me out. Does anyone have a solution for this.

steel32,

The only way we can help support you is if you can provide a copy of the Log file and the DxDiag file. Please follow the instructions at the top of the forum and post here or sent to support.

Thanks,

It will not allow me to upload the log file. It keeps saying this file is not supported.

Give it one more try now, please. I just updated the permissions. If that doesn't work, try copying and pasting the contents of the log file into your post.

steel32,

I'm afraid your graphics card isn't 100% DirectX 9 compatible. Please check Intel's support website:

http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/intel915gm/

From DxDiag:

Chip type: Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset
Current Mode: 1024 x 768 (16 bit) (60Hz)
Driver Date/Size: 2/15/2005 12:02:58, 37951 bytes
