New User Problem

Post by BM24 »

Hello i just bought the game tonight and were having a few problems getting it running.
First of all my dad is the administrator so i had to get him to install it and what not. Now the game works fine in his account but when ever i go onto my account it wont work. It brings up a message of Runtime Error 75? What is this and can anyone help us out? Weve tried installing and unstalling a few times now but still no dice. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

That means that the game is trying to write a file but doesn't have permissions. Your account may not have write access to certain parts of the computer the game needs to write files to.

Why does the administrator have to install the game?

Lots of people set their home computer up so that only parents can install software. I suspect that is what has happened here. Unforunately it seems the account privialges this person is using are just a bit strong for the game. The game does need to read and write data to the disk on a continual basis so if it can't do that, you'll get errors.

Couldn't the administrator set the local user up to install the software and then set his security back to something that will allow the game to be played?

The father can give permissions to the Max Football folders
