Bug Report: Active sonobuoys do not deploy

Post by hermanhum »

Active sonobuoys do not deploy
CASS Active Sonar Sonobuoys carried by S-2 Trackers do not deploy when the "Drop Active Sonobuoy" hotkey is depressed. However, they do deploy with "Drop Passive Sonobuoy".

Hermann,

Ran your test scene and I was able to deploy both types of sonobouys.
I had to drop the Tracker to low altitude, and use the , hot key for the LOFAR bouys, and the . hot key for the CASS bouys.

However when I used the [ hot key for directional passive bouys, it did drop a CASS bouy, and when I used the ] hot key for directional active bouys it did nothing, same with the { hot key for best passive bouy, and the } hot key for best active.

I have posted this up to AGSI.

Thanks Hermann.

I observed the same behavoir, and something a little different as well concerning sonobuoys. I have seen the comm links to the buoys position, but the icon for the buoy itself does not show.

I haven't got a screenie handy but will try to find the saved game and post a pic.

Was just wondering if anyone else had seen this?
