Life after SPWAW ver 3.0?

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Life after SPWAW ver 3.0?

Post by Skotty »

First of all, I wish to add my most sincere thanks, congrats, and respect to the staff of Matrix for the bang up job they have done and are doing for the SP community.

My question is after the release of Ver 3.0, whats next in line for the SP series now that SP: Nam has been cancelled. Will there be a serious effort in producing a modern era SP game? I sure hope so. I know there would be alot of time cosuming work to be done.

I would think that Korea and early era Arab conflicts would not be to hard mo manage since these would still use WW2 era equipment sans helos and no ATGMs.

This is just a friendly inquiry I put forward to the Matrix staff and the SP community.

THANKS

Maybe if we get lucky we might see SPIII move to a Windows native like SPWaW did Image now that would put a grin on my face right to my ears. Image

I'd go crazy if SP3 was given the facelift that SPWAW got, but kept the scale. Talk about modelling large encounters...

Actually SP3 Online is a native windows app that allows 4 players to play online...

You can still get it from Mplayer.com but its a rigamoroll to find it.

If you didn't see on the SP:Nam forum before we took it down. Sp:The Nam has been canceled and replaced by SP:Modern War - covering 1950-2005+ This will be based on SP:WaW.

We don't have a release target yet...
