Time Compression

Post by Titanwarrior89 »

I have it set for 5 minutes but when ever my staff message comes up(platform damage) it resets the time to 1 second. In some of the battles ive fought so far, after a few seconds it resets back to 5 minutes but in some it stays at 1 second. Then I have to reset set it each time.

Why does it do this?[&:]

I get it doing the same thing whenever I pick up a NEW contact.  If I lose a contact or its status changes it goes back to my compression rate.  I didn't code it but I expect it is so when those New contacts are Vampires it gives you a chance to react, before they impact.  That is the conclusion I have come to.  Always open for other suggestions.

Sounds like your probley correct. Thanks for the response. When in a large battle with the staff message area clicked to show -platform damage the pop up comes up alot and the pace slows down to 1 sec(I set it on 5 mins.) I can live with the slow down but I have to reset awhole lot. So I cut off the staff message and try to catch it in the regular incoming messages.

But I noticed in a couple of battles last night - it would reset it self back to 5 minutes.[X(]

One thing to look for is a Staff Message that gets hidden behind a zoom window.

If a staff message pops up, TC goes to 1:1 until the message window is closed. Sometimes when you click back to the zoom window, the staff message window gets shuffled behind it. Then no matter how many times you step up the compression it will revert very shortly back to 1:1

This is in fact a pretty common occurence.

This post kinda gave me a nudge, and I have requested a feature change with AGSI to make the Staff Message boxes always on top.

Not being a coder, I do not have a clue whether this is possible, but I did ask.

In my last game that is where the staff messages were hid. Now I see why it was sticking on 1 Sec.

Thanks again Guys for your help.[:)]
