Moscow Today vs. Moscow '41-'42?

I've dled satelite images of Moscow and the areas around it from Google Earth. Certainly the area has changed since WW II. My question is, just how usefull are the images of Moscow today to making game maps of Moscow and its environs for SP:WaW battles?

Useless imho, unless you are making maps far outside of Moscow. The city has expanded threefold since 41.
