Busy and action packed turn!

Game date is 1st of August 1944

India & Burma

The huge battle at Moulmein rages on. RAF and RN has kept bombarding those Japanese. Reports indicate heavy casualties.

Next turn another delibarate assault is ordered. Hopefully I can get better odds this time around.

This battle consumes a lot supplies so I'am shipping non stop convoys from Chandspur and Karachi!

No sign of that Japanese CVE TF. Was that a decoy or is FDR moving them towards Midway, Pearl or WC?

Australia, NZ & South Pacific

Kwaleijin is bombed heavily yet again by US 4E bombers.

The big news is that green light has been given to troops preparing for Kwaleijin landings. These TF have now sailed and the operation has begun!

US BB Fleet will bombard the base next turn in support. Allied CV armada is patrolling the area and giving CAP for the transport ships.

Port Moresby was bombed to dust too in last two days. That airfield is now officially closed.

Koepang invasion has also begun. Most of the troops landed last turn. The worrying news is that Japanese BB force seems to be in the area!!!

That is indeed worrying news since I can only give LBA support for the Timor offensive.

Kendari was hit too by allied LBA's. Unfortunately this operation must be stopped due to the fact that bomber losses have been too high.

A lot of things are happening simultaneously as you can see.

Silence. I guess it is time to change a format of this AAR. I wohn't be keeping this one updated regularly from now on.

Maybe some occasional situation reports from Pacific in the future.

Cheers guys! The reason why I asked if anyone is following this is simple. It takes time to keep these threads updated and sometimes the freetime is precious.

I will post some screenshots from Burma, DEI and South Pacific later tonight or tomorrow. A lot of things are happening... the assault on Kwaleijin, US CV's are active, etc.

As said thanks guys and I will post those screenshots soon.

I wish that someday I would have time to do a more detailed and visual AAR.

I have withdrawn my transport TF's from Kwaleijin so that these shock assaults will stop. US troops don't have extra supplies and are distrubted.

These troops will rest a turn or two and than I will send in supply TF loaded with just supplies.

Meanwhile I keep the pressure on by bombarding with my airforce and navy.

I have issued an CV strike againts Truk too. Both port and airfield will be targeted next turn.

Yeah. I know the feeling. I'am doing these AAR for myself and my opponent too. I think it would be nice to read afterwards what was actually happening in certain periods of the game.

You do have an nice battle raging with Rob. He is quite an agressive opponent I would say and reliable too! [:)]

Another "lurker" here. [:D]
Some AAR's are easy to follow and other's like Andy vs. PzB are in the "must read" category. [&o]
The more maps involved, the more likely I am to follow as it is hard to discern from just combat reports when viewing different AARs.
Any plans to try a flanking attack and land on northern Suamtra??

True. If only I had not the time limitations than.... [8|] You are correct though more maps makes more easier reading and I will try to improve on this aspect too.

I have been thinking about Sumatra. It would isolate Singapore and southern Malaya bases. The problem now is Burma since FDR is determined to fight it out. I have reinforcements coming soon but IF I manage to kick his butt in Burma serious enough than I can wrap up the Malaya peninsula.

I have been thinking about Sumatra, yes. Those new troops coming soon are going either to Burma or Sumatra.

After reading about Andy's failure in the Marianas, I would not wait too long on this one or you could have similar results. [:-]

It would help to see more maps to help us "armchair admirals" give you our $.02. [:D]

Kwaleijin was heavily bombed by both US Navy and US Airforce. I'am sending some transports ships there loaded with supplies. Hopefully this base will be captured soon.
