Question regarding saved files/scenario folders

Sorry if this question is shocking in it's stupidity but is there a limit to the number of downloaded scenarios one can put in the scenario directory? Also, my saved game folder is a mess, will deleteing files related to my PBEM game(s) render my PBEM game unplayable. Just in case you didn't notice, I am very dangerous when fiddleing with my computer and I don't want to mess anything up by deleteing something important or packing my directory with a thousand or so downloaded and converted scenarios. The only known limit would be your hard drive capacity and the patience needed to scroll through the scenario list [;)]

Note that you can create as many folders as you want under the main scenario directory to organize your scenario collection.

No, but you won't be able to reopen .sal files for AAR purposes for instance. I'd recommend you keep the last two .pbl files exchanged between you and your opponent though, just in case (corrupted attachments, lost mail and the like).

Nemo has answered the first;

As to 'save game folder' administration: How 'bout making some new folders inside your 'save game folder' ? Works for me, even during 'renames'. ie: name a folder 'whatever 1; whatever2, etc etc; and shuffle your pbems into the particular folder concerning the individual your playing.


Any folder in your 'save games' can be opened, even if it's 'notes', and saved in 'save games', dig? Copies of a given file, pasted into another file can be your friend.

Be advised that even the scenario folder can be re-organized by renaming a given file. I wouldn't be making new folders in this one, unless your going for a 'save old scenarios' sort of thing, as the game itself reads the 'scenario' folder more or less alphabetically, and ignores any folder it doesn't expect to see.

The system is flexible: I arranged my scenaioi folders more era/theatre specific and have a similar folder system for scenarios converted from ACOW
