Congratulations

A brand new campaign-based 3D tactical engine covering combat in World War II, from the developers at Koios Works. The first operation covered is the famous "Wintergewitter" or Winter Storm, a desperate attempt by Hoth's 57th Panzer Korps to break through to the encircled 6th Armee at Stalingrad and the Soviet counter-attack by 2nd Guards Army that drove them back.

Great job winning the Intel Demo contest! Curtis showed me the link.

That's some nice notoriety you're building there.

According to wargamer.com the demo is released at the intel website.

Congrats to the Koios team. You can give the game away now, lol, since the $30k is probably more that you were going to make on selling it. (Just kidding, I hope)

Thanks guys.

You might note that the demo on the Intel site is a contest entry, and not necessarily a demo for the masses. I hate to point people to an FTP site that probably isn't expecting a huge load.

But hey, I won't stop anyone from downloading it either ;-)

By the way, the other entries are really decent. Insanipaint has some great potential to be a really inventive 3D puzzle type game. I hope they are able to finish it.

Another thing that you guys deserve a lot of credit for is sending a game to market that was actually ready to play out of the box. It's stable and doesn't have to be patched every other day in order to enjoy. That you added important new features with the single update that has been released speaks volumes about your integrity and committment to your customers.

Kudos to all involved!

Yep, congratulations to Koios, great job! As Marshall noted, this isn't the official commercial demo, but was what we provided as a contest entry. It still allows play of the first battle in the German campaign as a set battle so for folks that were wondering, feel free to give it a try.

Or they can go back to making ancients miniatures games after that windfall. ;) DBA Online could use a nice 3D engine http://www.dbaol.com/
