The Axis had another accidental incurrsion.  The Finnish 6th Corps has lodged in the city of Podporoz'e which is South of the river Svir.  Hitler has said that they will move north at the earliest opportunity:

FitE Red Army Turn 15

Post by Okimaw »

There wasn't anything of significance to report from this turn. From the movie you can see that the line from Kalinin north of Moscow to Mariupol is basically complete.

(Image)

Here are the Red Army losses so far

(Image)

Here is a close up of the spot that is troubling STAVKA at the moment. 18 divisions were transported there by rail this turn.

(Image)

This is the defensive line that has been formed along almost the whole front. The Kiev and Smolensk pockets have bought invaluable time for the forces in the rear of their positions.

FitE Red Army Turn 16

Post by Okimaw »

Filling the gaps at various sections of the line was the main task this turn. That aspect is almost done and the focus in the next few turns will be to try and establish pools of secondary reserves, probably stationed in quadrants along the line as there isn't enough Manpower for the whole front. The Lenningrad - Moscow gap is another pressing matter that a solution needs to be found for. The defenses of Lenningrad itself are being considered as well.

Here is a movie for turns 2 to 16 from Red Army view.

(Image)

As can be seen from this shot, the defenses on the south and west side of Lenningrad are adequate at best but will probably not withstand an all out attck at multiple points. The east side along the Vohlkov river is even more tenuous. I'm considering leaving the fortress regiments behind and taking the more mobile formations to make an indepth defense more to the outskirts of Lenningrad itself. The rail line from Moscow/east is also threatened and will have to be addressed immediately.

(Image)

The fascists are now at Vyezma. Stavka thinks the large force opposite our line may be a ruse as at least four full divisions are closing in towards the northernmost limit of the line.

(Image)

Another area being threatened is Crimea. It's been reinforced by cavalry divisions and naval infantry at the entry points but these can only hold for so long. An effort will be made to send more reinforcements by ship.

I'm not sure if you're addressing me or Larry but we both use a mix of mods from different sets.

Here's a link to a zip of the mods Larry uses

This turn did not see any major combat except in the nordic AO. The hardworking comrades of the people's railway were kept busy once again. Stavka decided to give the fascists a taste of what massed artillery can do to infantry with the forces around Vyezma taking some much deserved casualties

Here is the first frame of the new movie. Image shack can only handle 9 frames at 100% or 15 at 75% so I'll just stick with 100% and it will be a multi part story like Star Wars.

(Image)

On the Nordic front, the forces sent to reestablish the Murmansk rail line made progress this turn pushing the fascists back and inflicting losses on their armor. Murmansk is surrounded on land but is still supplied by sea. STAVKA has a suprise in store for the enemy in the next couple of turns.

(Image)

The situation between Moscow and Lenningrad is stabilizing to a degree. Forces are being deployed along the rail link and as long as it is open reiforcements will be sent to the Lenningrad area. For the time being the southern concentration of Lenningrad"s defence will not change.

(Image)

The forces left to defend along the Dnieper River have succeeded in tying up a large amount of forces from AGS. The forces are still sizeable and should hold out for some time.

(Image)

The defenders at the entry point to Crimea were pushed back at one point but are still holding and were again reinforced from landings by naval infantry and cavalry.
