In this evil genius's humble opinion, what you need is Speedy to divide his fleet in a way that you can be ready to meet half of it head-on. The only way I would see someone doing voluntarily doing that is if they saw a target they couldn't resist.

Faber, why the radio silence? Are you busy or intentionally laying low?

I've noticed Speedy has updated his AAR, but have stayed out since I made a suggestion about strategy in yours....I didn't want to play the double agent.

Any updates?

I like peeking in both threads[:D]

I do agree with you, Niceguy. I would not want to play, spy even inadvertently.
For what we are about to receive, may we be truly thankful.

Sorry for my slow updating.........not much to report really....

Speedy is consoladating his recent advances in the Marshalls......while preping his latest thrust....
I have transports flying into Kwaj and Malolap......evacing troops........

The combined fleet is at Gaum waiting for orders......

Steven is getting more aggressive with his LRBs as a huge raid on Kendari..........and 64 Lightnings swept Paramashiro......50 or so mixed Tojo/Tony.....engaged the enemy......I lost about 20 aircraft/ Steven about 7.......

Faber, sounds like you need to step up that fighter pilot training program. I suggest putting Lacrimosa in charge, she'll whip them into shape.

I didn't know penguins had knees...
Q: Do penguins have knees?

A: After examining these cute, but bizarre, looking birds it certainly appears that they do not have knees. Their feet just seem to stick out of their body without any joints at all.

However, if you murder one, rip its body in half, dig through the feathers and gore, and wipe away the blood, you will see that they do indeed have knees. The reason they don't appear to have them is because their legs are usually tucked under their body and covered in feathers. If you watch them when they jump into water, you can see their legs and knees.

Speedy has his eyes on Timor.....
the last 5 turns he has reconned Timor and it's environs..........
I'm busy evac-ing Timor....but have 3 BFs and a CD unit left.........new air units are heading for the DEI as this is about to become a live theatre........
my staff has been put into planning mode.....as to any Fleet involvement here......more to come......

Sorry for the slow updates......but RL keeps getting in the way........

Speedy carries on smashing me on every front.......

In Sub warfare terms after a few quiet turns after I had changed all my convoy routes Speedy hit 2 AOs and 3 TKs in the last four days........any other ships hurt a little .....this hurts alot.........my Economy is doing fine but I'm now down to less than 20 working TK/AOs so trouble is closing in fast.........

Speedy is, I believe, moving for Timor...........My staff and I have decided to move both AAGs to Pelau........and SAG 1 (Yamato,Hyuga and escorts) to Tarakan.........and am slowly moving in reinforcements .....but too slowly I fear.....

Speedy also hit Kendari.......with over 200 heavy bombers.......none were shot down and my 80+ CAP were cut to ribbons(Tojo/Tony/Jack)...........

Otherwise I think Einwetok is the next CenPac objective........the fleet will not engage unless Speedy shows a weakness........

Dissappointing and somewhat surprising results at Kendari.

Faber, I'm curious how you organize your resource movement. DO you use mega convoys with a massive escort or do you use many little convoys? I wonder if the massive convoy approach might not work...at least for now.

I was very dissappointed by the results at Kendari.......but, well, these things happen.....I now need to rush in fresh airgroups........

As far as convoys......from the start of the war....I ran TK groups of 6TKs escorted by 4 MSW and 2 PCs and a fleet destroyer.........Changing convoy routes on a monthly basis..........but things are now critical.........so I think I will form larger convoys with a CVE and ASW assets assigned........I can't afford any more losses or Japan will run dry.......on the plus side the economy has been at full pelt.....and I have 7000 Mitsu engines and 5000 Naks......

Here is Burma........I hope to hold the line until summer 44............Speedy will no doubt be looking to flank me somewhere.......so all bases on the coast to the south have at least an Ind. Brig.( 120AV) and baseforce........also 500 AV held in reserve at Bankok.......he may try for the west coast of Java.......so I'm reinforcing and mining there.........Next turn will be the 1st of December........one month and then what will the new year hold.........

Is the Burma Road open to the Allies at this point? It looks like Speedy can go around Lashio.
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?
