How to learn the game?

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

How to learn the game?

Post by blastpop »

Ok, I'm a long time grognard and this game seems to give me fits every time I try to get into the game. What to do?

I tried the tutorial material, which is good as far as it goes. Not sure where to go from there. Maybe the game has to many choices. Is there a good progression from the tutorial? Otherwise playing a scenario is like learning to cross the street with a blindfold on... [&:] for me at least.

Take a look at Raleigh's guides in the "war room" section near the top of the page.
I had a great deal of trouble until I reviewed the guides.
My problem was I wasn't building an economy to go with my army and would go bankrupt in every game. Now, I do not have that problem.

Great game. I have had this about a year and it is still the main one I play.
