UK Supplier of HTTR?

Post by kam99 »

Hi,

Does anybody know of anywhere in the UK to obtain a reasonably priced copy (new or used) of HTTR? There is nothing on eBay at the moment.

I would love to support Matrix directly and use the digital download service, but their prices are not realistic. Using US prices as an example, Matrix charge $49.99 for a delivered copy and $39.99 for digital download. It is available elsewhere online for $19.99 (new) and on eBay (new & buy it now) for $14.99.

Please Matrix, make your prices realistic and competitive so that I and others can support you.

HI KAM !!!
It costs me 34.99€ in france with the VAT.
I don't think it's too much as a lot of games today are between 50 and 60€.
I think that you must understand that wargame today is a very little market and if we want to continue to play the beautifull game that is HTTR (and surely COTA, i wait to the patch to buy it) we must help all the devs to survive for continuing the creation of such games.
For my part i will pay the price for these games because i want to continue playing true wargame for a long time.
The price that you pay is nothing compared as the many hours you spend playing and trying to masterize these games.
If you love wargames as i love, you can pay the full price, you will not be disappointed. HTTR is not fake wargame, it's a true, beautifull and well researched wargame with a superb engine to play.
Thanks Panthers for such a great series and i hope that everyone that love wargaming support you by buying your games. I will.

Eric.

You can say that again. I'm just hoping sales next month will be enough to pay the rent. [:)]

Eric and others,

I have obviously put across my point of view poorly. I do want to support Panther and Matrix, and appreciate what they are doing for the wargaming hobby. My point was that purchasing products through the Matrix official site is a very expensive way to do it.

I have ordered a new CD Rom version of HTTR through a reputable dealer for less than half of the Matrix quoted price.

If Matrix's prices were more competeitve, I would have prefered to have ordered direct from them.

Kind Regards,

KAM

I think the issue has been raised in another thread before, but the httr you can afford on places like ebay were already 'bought' from Matrix by the merchandiser or gamer selling it.... so the implication that you're going under the table buying a legit version of httr at a cheaper price and matrix not getting their proper cut, is not altogether correct -correct me if I'm mistaken. Buying from ebay may mean you just simply don't have the funds to buy the full price version at the moment.
Good thing for Matrix, is once you've got httr -umm hooked on it-[at whatever price] you'll be eager to get cota at the first available opportunity.
