Now since GoA will be more than $20 from Matrix the preorders are actually costing me about $600 which I am very happy to pay because I do appreciate those who pre-ordered. Because sending in the pre-order in the first place helped me guage how many were seriously interested in a strategic WW1 game. The same applies to those who asked and received a refund long ago, I never moved their names out of the pre-order list out of appreciation for having pre-ordered in the first place.

Actually I stopped taking pre-orders within weeks of starting to take them. 

As for Guns of August, there's no relation between the two games except they cover the same war at the same unit scale.  In fact, the game was called "Trench" during its development time and the executable still says "Trench.exe"

Matrix just liked the name "Guns of August" better and since marketing and promotion has never been my strong suit... no no really, its true [:)]
