CHS Bug?

Post by Japfanboy99 »

Is anyone aware of a bug in the chs scenarios where the japanese player can't load troops on transports at certain bases. A couple of these bases for me are Palau and Truk.

I've tried it on 3 CHS scenarios, 155 157 159, same problem on all 3.
Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

What exactly happens? Can't you give them the order to load, or are the troops not embarking although everything seems fine? What ships and troops are you using?

I have had a few problems with TFs moving only 1 hex from a port, even on teleport turn one.

I have had a few problems with TFs moving only 1 hex from a port, even on teleport turn one.

Two things that come to mind are:

1. insufficient number of ships to load the troops immediately

2. some low endurance ship is part of the TF

But, I think that we are going off topic...

I'd suspect you have the wrong pwhex file. On his website AB has the pwhex files for his maps available as separate downloads. It should be installed in the main WITP directory.

If that's not the issue, than I have no clue. [;)]

I had a similar problem when I first installed CHS. I couldn't load anything at Pearl Harbor.

As ctangus said, it's a pwhex file problem. Probably the installation of the map was not properly done, or the file has somehow become corrupted.

Reinstall Andy Brown's extended map, and all should be fine. That did the trick for me.

Yep, seems to be pwhex.dat problem. You need correct pwhex.dat file for every map you use, since map graphics have no effect in game engine. It looks pwhex.dat for information about what the hex it.
