Working with 3.6.3 but not with 3.7.x

Hello,

Some weeks ago I posted a thread because I can play H3 3.6.x with my laptop, but I can't play with H3 ANW 3.7.x.

Nobody answered, and the post has been deleted. Also I posted some screenshots with the problem DOS window. It told me that my video card driver was out to date. Yes, that's true, since ATI has not released newer drivers for IGP 320 integrated cards from a long time.

However the graphic system it seems to be the same, so I don't understand why I can play with older versions of the game and not with the newest versions.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Your previous thread is still there. I think that the forum default is to display only messages for the last 30 days unless you specify a longer period. [;)]

I had that same error when I started up H3 ANW for the first time (v3.7 btw). As this game is more 2D then 3D, and I used to play very system-demanding 3D-games without any problem, I was very surprised to get this message. I found out (googled) that it had to do with the screensettings in the game in relation with the screen settings in Windows. You don't have to update your drivers (unless they are really very old i.e. > 1 year). Adjust your screen size settings for the game so they are 1 size smaller then Windows, and this error should be gone. I also got an error about the number of colours, and I played around with that too untill that one disappeared too.

Ok, I will do that this evening. How can I set the screen size for this application? That I have tried is to modify the resolution in the ini file without success.
