Auto Victory achieved but let's continue.

Gary Grigsby’s World at War is back with a whole new set of features. World at War: A World Divided still gives complete control over the production, research and military strategy for your side, but in this new updated version you’ll also be able to bring spies into the mix as well as neutral country diplomacy, variable political events and much more. Perhaps the largest item is the ability to play a special Soviet vs. Allies scenario that occurs after the end of World War II.

Auto Victory achieved but let's continue.

Post by Petiloup »

Maybe this was thought about in the new release but if not would it be possible, when showing the screen for the "Total Victory" in case of auto victory, to pop up a question screen after it like "Do you want to continue? Yes/No"

I think there might be cases when both players or teams might want to see beyond that moment and if the balance can still tip the other side.

Thanks,

We are going to try to have an ability to continue after AV in AWD. Currently, players can continue after Axis surrender into a Soviet vs. WA game. We hope to add the ability to continue until the time limit (if set)after an Axis AV.

Thanks.

When you say continue after Axis surrender does that mean based on the situation as at the moment of German surrender? What about the regions/countries not yet "liberated" who do they join?

This pose an interesting question if let's say Russia liberate but annex Persia and Iraq that was occupied by Germany. Does that means Russia keep those for the next War?

I like the idea as to add some paranoia between the Allies.

Areas not yet liberated are handed to the WA or Soviet player automatically at the moment of surrender based on proximity of forces and a random element.

Gary just added in the ability to continue after an AV, although it's as of this moment untested.

Thanks, guys. That was quick.
