series or expansion packs

A brand new campaign-based 3D tactical engine covering combat in World War II, from the developers at Koios Works. The first operation covered is the famous "Wintergewitter" or Winter Storm, a desperate attempt by Hoth's 57th Panzer Korps to break through to the encircled 6th Armee at Stalingrad and the Soviet counter-attack by 2nd Guards Army that drove them back.

series or expansion packs

Post by rickier65 »

I've seen references to both 2nd game in series and to 1st or 2nd Expansion Packs. Will the next release be an expansion module (where you have to have this one to play) or will it be a standalone 2nd game in the series.

The expansion module roiute works for me, since I ended up with 3 or four of the SQ Leader games this way, and it works nice. But so does the 2nd game in series, if it's a standalone. Main difference is that I usually dont' buy the first game in series. I made the mistake of doing that with TOAW and ended up buying 3 of them at full price. since then I've decided to hold off on series games. My wallet couldnt take it anymore

Thanks,
Rick

I would be happy with either choice. Expansion packs would add alot to an already great game. I will buy either one or both. [8D]

The next release will be an expansion pack with very affordable pricing. You'll need to have the original full WinterStorm release to use the expansion pack and the new features will also apply to the WinterStorm campaign, which will be updated to use them as well.
