Menu Selection Question

Is there a way to break out of Targeting mode without having to mouse back to the selected tank, right click and select something else from the Orders menu?
How do you close the Orders menu without selecting something off it?
Escape which is what I would assume would be a cancel opens the save menu.

I think the space bar doesn't do anything. Maybe that can cancel current menu choice.

I believe that just left-clicking somewhere in empty terrain will clear it if you popped it up by mistake. You can cancel a target also using the Cancel Target order.
