Scenario design tips vs AI

A brand new campaign-based 3D tactical engine covering combat in World War II, from the developers at Koios Works. The first operation covered is the famous "Wintergewitter" or Winter Storm, a desperate attempt by Hoth's 57th Panzer Korps to break through to the encircled 6th Armee at Stalingrad and the Soviet counter-attack by 2nd Guards Army that drove them back.

Scenario design tips vs AI

Post by Laryngoscope »

I thought I would share this little tip with anyone who is designing a scenario balanced against the AI.

As the design of PCOWS now stands it is very difficult to arrange an encounter scenario as the VP calcs assume attack / defender based scenarios.

One way that I have found that can be used to bring the AI out to play (if you want the AI to be defender and get the 15 turn bonus) is to use cheap enemy vic. flags where you want them to go. It works just like a carrot, they come out to get them. It looks unusual having an opponents vic. flag deep in enemy territory but it works.

Keep designing ...
