RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign
If you chose a Major country, and then stuck with that major country, then your just being a hypocrit when you complain of Riun T doing the same thing with using US Army forces. I'm sorry, but your whole argument is invalidated by this; you did not stick with the Flashfyre campaign format; same as Riun. Since you knew the Soviets had no allies to draw from (discounting every non-major allied nation like Greece or the Free French; who were technically allied with the Soviets); you should have chosen on of the other nations, and used their allies' troops.

RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign
The battle ended at that point (on turn 21 out of 30) since I had captured all the victory hexes and the Finnish morale was broken.

RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign
good god man!!
6 battalions of 203s, 6 platoons of flamers, and 6 platoons of Engineers.
No Regular infantry Squads. All heavy arty.
I reckon you don't exactly go for realistic core forces huh?
you should play with the guys that i used to play online with everynight, and who still play online everynight.
your force would fit right in...
wow
Is this Spwaw 8.403?

Riun T,
There.
Are you satisfied now?

RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign
Alby,
Heh. I told you I was a pretty extreme Cat2 player.
But actually, I am doing this to prove a point to Riun T.
Riun T said that I wasn't a man unless I used FlashFyre's format.
I told Riun T that FlashFyre's format was only a foundation and needed a LOT of details worked out (like core composition, for instance).
But Riun T wasn't listening. He called me out again and said that if I had balls, then I would shut up and stop complaining and just play FlashFyre's format. Sigh...
Okay, Riun T. This one was for you.
P.S. I agree that Reduced Squads ON and Reduced Ammo ON hurts the AI a LOT more than it does the human player. (I also tried to explain this to Riun T, but he wasn't listening to that either.)

azraelck,
Riun T was using 3000 points, so I decided to use 3000 points also.

Don't forget his masses of calvary, Alby.
What was the visibility of this battle? 1? 2? Against real infantry, supported by heavy weapons and at a range greater than 50m, your lack of real infantry and tanks equipped with long-raged guns would become a liability. Furthermore, I'll gleefully point out that you failed to do exactly what you said you were going to do; follow Flashfyre's rules for a challenging long campaign. While you had the settings right, you failed to utilize allied forces rather than the major nation that you started as. You deliberately chose the Soviets just so you could avoid that particular rule and attempt to get away with it! While I failed to notice that it was early war vs the Finns until later; still it shows that you chose the Soviets in a point in time that they were not involved in World War II technically; and were under a non-aggression pact with Germany. Thus, they did not have any allies to chose from. You had to have known this; yet you still chose this point in time and nation. It only shows that you do not follow the arbituary rules set up by Flashfyre, and I seriously doubt you follow any rules or agreements at all. After all; someone who can't be trusted to do a simple thing such as play using forces from a minor nation; rather prefers to deliberately try to circumvent that rule by choosing a nation who was not allied with anyone at the time of the campaign start just to work around that rule; cannot be trusted in a more competitive state; whether PBEM or when comparing screens for campaign scores.
