Weird calling shot

Post by IKerensky »

I notice something strange about called shoot when I missed the first one ( not that isn't strange at all , that is common ), then even if I hit with the second weapon I dont hit the location I aimed !!

Mean 2 PG, called shoot to the head to 34%
1-miss
2- hit the Leg
MEan AC4, called shoot to the head 40%
1-miss
2- hit the arm

This is weirdo, I cn understand you have only right to make 1 called shoot at a time, but in this case why dont the % goes back up ?

And if called shoot only count for a better luck of hitting the intented part then I consider than -51% to chance to hit the head is far too much if I can still hit the leg ( at last for -51% I will expect all the shoot in the upper body <img src="tongue.gif" border="0"> ( RT/CT/LT/Hd )).

If you hit with the called shot percentage, you are given a certain amount of die rolls for the location of where it hits. This means in order for you to hit the location you want with a called shot, you must...

a. Have at least a yellow scan and 80% or better to hit.

b. (Assuming you have an 85% chance to hit) You call a shot, which reduces your to hit by 51%, you now have a 34% chance to hit. If you hit with 34% then...

c. A location hit die is rolled. You get a certain amount of rolls per location. For example, you only get 2 rolls for the head. If one of those rolls says the shot lands on the head, then the shot goes to the head, otherwise it goes to the last location you hit. If you shoot a leg, you get 3 rolls. If one of those rolls hits the leg location, then you shoot the leg, otherwise you hit the last part of the body you hit. I'm not sure about the exact number of rolls for each location, but I'm assuming you get 2 for the head, 3 for the legs, arms, and lower torso and 4 rolls for the center or side torsos.

You'll have to ask Larkin about the specifics.

Ok , I see the process...
And I partly understand 100% luck of hitting the head if you do a called shoot will be too much effective, but that seems a bit weird to be able to hit the leg while doing a concentrated shoot. Why dont make the roll to see if I hit the other location on a Top to down ( or Down to top.. ) order in place of the last one hit ? seems a bit more logical , not ?
