Test run on BoB

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Test run on BoB

Post by Hard Sarge »

Well been working on the GE pilots and leaders for about the last 6 hours, so it is time to play a bit

okay here are my raids for the first day of the long Campaign

nothing fancy or tricky, just plot right into there face

got 3 raids headed to Biggen, which one breaks off and goes to Hendly, while the other is a gamble and breaks for Tangmare

got a Heavy defended raid as bait, going to a small AF off the coast

got a raid headed towards 10 group to keep them guessing (more to get them into action and to draw attention away from the raid on Tangmare)

got 2 raids from Luft X hitting up north, those are normally a waste

Stukas will try and knock out a Radar site while every one else is busy

I moved 3 Gruppen of fighters from Luft 3 into Luft 2

Hmmm
sometimes plans work too well

the RAF has put up around 320 planes, and most are headed towards my bait

and the other bait is working as well

my "Main" force raids are going in un challenged

my baits worked good, but not really much fighting there

my Main Force raids snuck in pretty good, but one was cloud covered, knocked out 2 of the Main Airfields, but not really by much

the main enemy losses came from headed back to base while my raids were over head

good turn for me

the RAF did lose a couple of planes to Flak and Balloons and crashes on damaged runways

so it is not as one sided as it may look, plus they went right into the heart of the strongest raid

oh give me a break, what is a BTR pic doing in my BoB folder

make it easy on me, I/JG27

and the kill list

as you can see, lots of work still needs to be done, even after 6 hours of work today on it

Your Stukas did still take a lot of damage, despite the decoys.

But the RAF still came down as the losers at the end of the day of course, as you pointed out.

Nice updates you're showing these days. I really like reading about your raids.

Some small errors I noticed:
It's Bf 109 E-4/B and not E-4B; same with Bf 110 C-4/B
It's CR.42 and not Cr42
It's G.50 and not G50
MG 15 and MG 17 are 7.92 mm and not just 7.9 mm; or do you have the US small caliber guns at 7.6 mm instead of 7.62 mm ?
