In fact I got the october issue today and Tim Stone (the reviewer) can't stop to mention COTA in other reviews. A few quotes from the TOAW 3 review :

"Today, lined up against the likes of Conquest of the Aegean (PCG165 84%) it looks like Godfrey out of Dad's Army"

"Thanks to developers such as Battlefront, MadMinute and Panther, wargames are getting more realistic, more dramatic and more ergonomic all the time. Top series like the Combat Missions and the Airborne Assaults are superior to their hex ancestors in almost every way"

So, true. I haven't been able to enjoy a good game of tic-tac-toe for the last five years or more!

Now that's cruel; you realize there are many who are seriously addicted to tic-tac-toe and similar, but larger games. Those still represents the most realistic military simulation in many players minds-eye.
