Surface Combat

Post by JagdFlanker »

I realize that WPO "borrows" the WitP engine so you have to take what you can get, but i'm noticing in my surface combats so far that my ships are ony using their front guns - all my front guns are empty and rear guns are still full of ammo!! my BB's are closing in to 5000-10000 yds and all so shouldn't they be doing a lot more broadside salvos? especially since my TF's were engaging unescorted merch's and were generally involved in multiple battles before reloading...

It's kind of hard to use rear-facing guns when trying to hit a merchant running away when the distance becomes 20-25,000 yards. Or when enemy crosses the 'T'.

Ships use all guns in bombardment though.

P.S. This is exactly USN's North Carolinas, South Dakotas, Iowas, RN Nelsons, King George Vs, Lions, IJNs Yamatos, Italian Littorios had a reduced number rear-facing main caliber turrets. Nelsons did not have any :)
