European Publisher?

Post by Chrof »

Hi everyone,

after reading some reviews and digging through this great forum, I think I want this game. Is there something like an european publisher? I checked the Matrix Onlinestore, but as I'm sitting in germany without a creditcard, I would have to pay VAT and processing fee, which makes it quite expensive.[:(]

You can obtain it as a digital download using let's say PayPal. Paypal can be set to "direct debit", which means that you will pay per "Bankeinzug" from your bank account in Germany. You have to be a verified customer (check their help section about how to become a verified customer) in order to use that, though.
"Digital Download" or physical shipment, Paypal or CC, you'll still have to pay VAT anyway.

A little hint: Once you're verified, and once you set your paypal account to direct debit, any store will update your account right away (means your download will be available within seconds after entering your paypal details, just as if you'd have paid with a CC), although your bank account in Germany might be charged days later (takes 3-5 days usually IIRC, my bank account has been charged a week later in one case [:D]).

It's not like in Germany, where many stores use to check if the payment shows up on their account statements before they actually start to deliver the stuff, so Paypal trusts ya there, kinda :).

Who needs a credit card, when Paypal is your friend?
Still had to pay VAT, but no processing fee.

The download is rolling. Looking forward to playing[:)]

I've read a lot of bad things about PayPal and purchased
4 games from Matrix (wasn't the fifth for free - hint hint [8D])
with my Mastercard without problems. Call me a happy customer.
