COTA : CyberStratège review

Post by sterckxe »

Hi,

CyberStratège is a French language magazine dedicated to PC strategy games. Their latest issue contains a review of COTA, written by Robin Pirez, better known in this forum as Robin le guetteur who is himself a games developer for (among others) Birth of America.

I promised some juicy quotes, but there's one that outshines them all so I'm going to limit it to that :

"It's a game that I would have wanted to make" - 9/10 - Golden Laurels

What higher praise can one get than this from someone who is himself developing wargames ?

A great review in a great magazine - recommended.

The one that struck me was : "This game is elegant."
It's not a lot of words but tells a lot from the Art Director of BoA.

Besides a couple of factual mistakes in the article, it's very well written. I tend to think it gives more envy to play than the much more descriptive and detailed articles in PC4WAR.
Moreover, it's very well illustrated.

Conclusion :

Unfortunately no. Except for some cheap bastards, you have to go and buy your copy.
