How about some humor - can't find the original posts but here is a good summary:http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=956752&mpage=1&key=funny&#1007771
Those threads are hilarious!! [:D] I created another category for topics like this. What happened to the "Name this?" threads by Brady and Mogami(?) ?

This need a sticky .. Nice work VSWG !
It's not done yet... I'm missing lots of useful 2004/05 topics that I had bookmarked before the "Firefox incident"... I just browsed through the newer threads in the War Room and the Main Forum, and haven't even started looking at the Scenario Forum.

I know that Apollo11 tested several other game mechanics, but I can't find them right now. And didn't Nikademus post some detailed AA test scenarios a while ago? Or was it someone else? Some help would be nice... [;)]

Added 10+ links. Some sub-categories are needed, methinks...

I think he is like sick or something...........

Almost. The correct answer would have been:
Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

It might also be useful to try and get some of the info in these threads into the Wiki. So you whould not always have to wade through countless pages of discussions to get the picture of certain topics in the few 'golden' posts.

Absolutely. I hope that the WitP Manual Wiki and this list complement each other: in case only one or a couple of posts are really 'golden' in one of the linked threads, it would be great if the author would paste it into the Wiki so that the link here can be deleted (and the list becomes less cluttered). This list should be reserved for threads that contain valuable discussions or series of tests that cannot (or shouldn't) be summarized in a short Wiki article. For now, I decided to add all kinds of threads, even short ones, but it would be great if others would chime in and help decide which information should be moved to the Wiki. I do not want to decide alone which threads should be added, or removed from this list. Ideally, this should be another community effort, with me only editing the first post upon popular demand.

BTW, I added the pic in your sig to the Wiki link. Can I make it clickable, too?

Additions:

Comprehensive Port bombing testing: Another GEM by Apollo11!! Variables are plane type (B-29, B-17, B-25), altitute, experience, targets (warships, transports, port facilities) and AA.

Oh, one more thing: Can someone proof-read the first post? I want to make a good impression on all the newcomers. A PM would be nice. [:)]

Hi all,

Thanks for this collection Martin - greatly appreciated!

Few more threads to look up:

#1
"Lord Calidor" made WinWord (".doc") document with superb knowledge gathered through forum - this one single document is gold mine itself!

#2
I fixed Japanese production flow chart - good way to understand Japanese economy.

#3
I made at least 2 more comprehensive bombing test threads (apart from te one you found). I will try to find those for you...

#4
I made Excel (".xls") document with list of all leaders together with their unit assignemens for scenario #15 (something rather useful and never before attempted).
