Cannot init graphic device?

Hello,

I just installed PCOWS, but it cannot get into the main screen (that is, the one with menus Campaign, Set Battle, et al.). The screen shows on-and-off, but without the menus. By on-and-off I mean the main screen displays for a second, then blank, then displays, and so on. I had to kill the game via Windows Task Manager.

I checked the log file and found these entries that suggested that the game tried to init the video device but failed. Resolution selected was 1024x768 and low details.

What was wrong then? Video memory problem or what?

Hi, could you please post the full DxDiag and Log files per the instructions pinned to the top of the support forum? I'm sure we'll be able to figure out quickly what's going on if we can look over those files.
