Reinstalling the game

For some unknown reason the game stopped working for me. I uninstalled and then tried to reinstall. However, I only had v1.38 on my computer and that didn't work. How do I start from scratch? What do I need and where do I get it? Thank you.

I can't find where to get a copy of the original install either...That might be part of my problem in the other thread where I kept getting a run-time error...please help!

I also could use a copy of the original game, if anyone can make the file available.

If that does not work try this.

Click on the store link and then the FAQ link. See the top item in the right hand column. Click on that or enter your order # and password in the space on this page. I tried it and was able to download the original version from the link that results. If you don't have the order number the page you reach when you click on that top right link lets you search with your password and the last five digits of your credit card number. That did not work for me, but I may have tried with the wrong credit card.

If this works, suggest you retain a copy of the full version file on a CD.

Ok, I was able to download it this way and I attempted to install the game fresh. It would get to the end and get hung up on installning: "...mods\AddIn\NET\dao.dll" It will then freeze and not finish the install. Anyone have any suggestions? I went in and tried to delet all the PureSim files in the registry and thought that I had, so I don't know what would be holding it up now.

I guess the problem was my virus scanner...oh well...I think things are going to be working now, I'll keep you all posted.

Just wanted you all to know I am back up and running with a fresh install of the game. All seems to be well.
