game hangs opening scenario

Just installed the game and it hangs while "setting map scroll speed".
I had no pronlems with the original World at War. Any suggestions?[&:]

Can you post a dxdiag report for your computer. I don't know why this would be any different than WaW. Do you still have WaW on your computer? Does it run ok, even when you reset the prefs to default?
