Screen Resolution Sizes

Post by junk2drive »

Will higher screen sizes be in the new releases?

Sorry if it was before, the last time I played them was on a 17" set at 800x600.

What about graphics cards? Will laptops/desktops with onboard/shared memory graphics be able to play them?

Resolutions up to 1600x1200 @ 32bit.

Computers with shared RAM should be fine, if they have enough of it [;)]

I just played Close Combat 5 on my P4 laptop that has 512MB of RAM and crappy Intel video card with 8MB of dedicated RAM and up to 32MB of shared RAm and CC5 works just fine so I'm sure CC: Iron Cross will work just fine as well.

Thanks for the answer. That's a selling point to those who already own the games.

One of the reasons I purchased WinSPWW2 and WinSPMBT was the higher resolutions.

At this resolution, soldiers with the same number of pixels as the older CC games will be like ants.

Will the resolution of the maps, vehicles and soldiers be increased for those running the game at higher resolution? And how will the game handle those running the game at lower resolution without cropping too much of the maps?

The actual art is not bigger or smaller if you run at the various resolutions, you just see more of the map. At 1600x1200 you hardly have to scroll the map [;)]
