Japanese factory auto-upgrade

Anyone have a list which japanese AC factories auto-upgrade on their own?
I know that the G3M Nell factory auto-upgrades, to Betty in Jan 1942, but what about other obsolete plane types: Ida, Claude, Lily, Nate. Do these ever auto-upgrade, or do I have to change them manually to something else?

Hmph... can't recall for Nate, i've started grand campaign a last year...

I change Ida and Lily to other types at the start (not sure if they autoupgrade at all, but think they don't)

I know the Mavis factory upgrades to Emily in Jan 42 also. Beyond that, I have no clue. I'm kind of curious also.

Oscar I factories upgrade to Ki-61, a bas idea with PDU off because you have to wait for several months before the Ki-43-IIa is released, and in the mean time the pool of Oscar I will disappear.

Ki-27 factories will logically upgarde to Oscar II, but as they will be useless for a full year I convert them manually in December 1941 to whatever I want (with a pool of 700 Nates no more production is needed).

A6M2 factories upgrade to A6M3a.

Lily and Ida are "terminal" planes, ie are replaced by nothing with PDU off, so factories won't auto-upgrade.

My humble opinion is that most factories will upgrade to the "successor" of the aircraft they are producing. So Val factories should upgrade to Judy, Kates to Jill, Ki-21 to Ki-67, A6M3 and A6M3a to A6M5, etc... Now that I think of it, it is possible that Lily factories upgrade to KI-102 in the latter stage of the war

You are right, with the exception that A6M2 will autoupgrade to A6M5.

In my PBEM all A6M2 factories auto-upgraded to the A6M3a (it is a stock scenario 15, I don't know if this applies to mod)

Well A6m2 upgrades to A6m3a and this one to A6m5 then A6m8 and in the end into Reppu[:D] i think there is some kind of tamplate on this on Spooky's

Just to let you know about the A6M2 factories....

One of my PBEMs is on 5 Nov 42 and I received the A6M3a this month. All but one A6M2 factories has autoconverted to the A6M3a. The other ones upgraded on different days.

With PDU on in Stock Scn 15 my Oscar factories auto-upgraded to Tonys as soon as they became available. Same thing with A6M2 converting to A6M3a

Converted factory later convert to the aircraft type that comes after the aircrfat type they are currently producing (and at the time of change - possible to accelerate)...
