RE: The Fall of Singapore!!
Report of April 20th , 1942
Starting from today I’ve decided to use more as I cane the air power.
Burma
Today I started the bombing of Akyab afld. I destroyed on the ground or in the air 1 Hurricane and 2 Falcon , with no losses. I noticed ships in Akyab harbor, I suppose Chuck is reinforcing. Tomorrow I’ll maybe a naval attack.
DEI
3 Hawk and 1 P-40 have been instead destroyed in Batavia, after one air raid. The damages are minimal and I lost 1 Betty.
In Kendari I destroyed only 1 Hudson and 1 Coronado. No other planes were presents. He moved away the naval air group.
Wow. With an assautl strenght of 712 vs 113, I got only a 0:1 odds and I lost 1475 men.

RE: The Fall of Singapore!!
Report of April 21st – 23rd , 1942
Singapore
Chuck sent 46 B-17 on the 21st over Singapore to bomb the port, and hit Nagato with 2 bombs, CA Myoko with 1 and one DD with 1. The bombs on Nagato and Myoko hit the decks and caused some supertructure damages. 5 B-17 have been shot down.
DEI
On the 23rd I started an air campaign against Batavia. I’ve lost 1 Sally and 1 Zero, while Chuck lost 6 aircrafts. But the Fortress are gone.
From Balikpapan I bombed also Soerabaya harbor, with 89 bombers escorted by 59 Zero, that managed well against the 11 P-40 on CAP, shooting down 8 of them. Only one bomber lost, but no ship has been hit.
Burma
Meanwhile Akyab afld has been abandoned by allied airplanes.

Fighting on the DEI
Report of April 24th , 1942
Java
My planes returned over Soerabaya. This time 63 bombers attacked the afld, escorted by 57 Zero. I lost 2 Zero and 2 Betty, but I shot down 7 P-40 and I destroyed 3 B-17 on the ground. I hope this new offensive will force Chuck to retreat the Fortress away from this area.
Sumatra
The losses of merchant ships is continuing in Palembang. This is the last convoy for a while. I really don’t know how many ships have been sunk or damaged, but I know that the number is high.

Report of April 25th , 1942
Java
2 Sally and 2 Zero lost in exchange of only 1 Hurricane are really too much, for the dairy air raid over Batavia.
Chuck tried an attack with some Fortress against Balikpapan but he obtained only a couple of scores on the ground.
Instead over Soerabaya I lost 1 Zero and 5 bombers, and I shot down 5 P-40, damaging again the enemy afld.
Borneo
Some infantry troops landed and occupied Bandjermasin. Now only Sampit is still on allied hand. Tomorrow will arrive also a Special Base Force. In this manner dive and torpedo bombers can operate from there

Some naval action today.
North Pac
I sent BB Haruna and CL Katori to night attack allied merchant ships unloading at. I’m disappointed about the results. Only one DMS was on escort and only the DMS has been sunk (and maybe one AK). In addition CL Katori has been damaged and has now sys level 27.
DEI
Chuck sent CL Boise, CL St. Louis and 2 DD to attack my ships in Bandjermasin. My planes in Balikpapan attacked them in the afternoon and hit with one torpedo each both cruisers.

DEI
CL Boise and DD Bulmer remained at Bandjermasin, and during the night of the 28th they sunk 3 transports. On their way back to Soerabaya DD Bulmer received one torpedo launched by a Nell. He sunk on the 29th.
Invasion fleet is approaching to Kai I. and on the 29th bombers took-off from Amboina to bombard the afld.
2 ML have been sunk Malang on the 29th, but no major ships have been spotted yet all around the area. Chuck should use them now that I’m approaching with dozens of ships.
Burma
On the 29th I attacked Mandalay afld with 81 Helen, 25 of them have been damaged. 8 escort fighters have been shot down by enemy CAP, which lost 13 fighters.

RE: The Fall of Singapore!!
Report of May 1st , 1942
Singapore
I’ve been surprised that Chuck sent the PBY on port attack, during the night, against Singapore harbor. Incredible, the only hit they obtained, was one torpedo on BB Hyuga. She’s now at sys 71, but will move tomorrow in Saigon.
DEI/Australia
The landing on Kai I. are continuing. Also the 65. Inf Bde and the 3. Eng Rgt begun to land.
1.Carrier Division stormed Darwin afld, destroying 14 aircraft on the ground and loosing 6 Val.
The former US air group based in Kendari attacked mini KB and, despite the 55 Zero on CAP, that shot down 13 F4-F and 2 SBD, placed 4 bombs on CVL Zuiho. The damages are 57/21/28. With DD Yuzuki the CVL is heading to Palau.
The air losses of today are heavy: 66 planes lost for the allies and 36 for Japan.

Report of May 2nd , 1942
DEI/Australia
I attacked Kendari afld with Ann based in Makassar, and they destroyed 3 US planes on the ground.
From Amboina, 41 Nell and 49 Zero attacked Darwin afld. I lost 1 Nell and 2 Zero, but my pilots shot down 17 P-40 and destroyed 3 other planes on the ground. Another P-40 went down when other Nell and Zero attacked one AK in Darwin harbor, hitting her with one torpedo.
KB attacked a small convoy south of Koepang, sinking 3 AK and 1 PG and damaging another AK. 8 Sea Hurricane were on CAP and were all shot down, at a price of only one Kate. I think that this was only a bait, to force my planes to expend their attack points. I suppose that because otherwise I don’t understand why Sea Hurricane were on CAP there. Why Chuck didn’t use P-40 or other planes. Sea Hurricane are british carried fighter, so I suppose at least one carrier, british, is in the area. Now Chuck knows that KB is also there. We’ll maybe see a carrier battle tomorrow or, maybe, Chuck will retreat. But the bait is a good idea. I’ll move maybe one expendable DD in front of KB tomorrow.
Anyway today the air losses were: 49 for the allied and 33 for Japan.

My planes based in Makassar destroyed 7 enemy planes in Kendari, dive attacking the afld.
I was waiting for a carrier battle today, but nothing happened. Maybe Chuck decided to retire them, or maybe the rain prevented the recon to find the opponent carriers.
The landing operation are almost finished. Only 3. Eng Rgt has to complete the unload. So I will retire my carriers north, in direction of Amboina. My recon planes spotted 80 bombers in Darwin, so it will be unsafe for me to stay there.

Report of May 8th – 9th , 1942
China
I tried a shock attack in Yenan on day 8th, but was unsuccessful. Over a thousand of losses in both sides. I really don’t know why I keep all those troops there. They haven’t done any progress until today. I think I will retreat them after some days of rest, to use them in other sites.
On the 9th 29 chinese units attacked nort of Kiukang, forcing my troops to retreat.
Burma
On the 9th Chuck started bombing Rangoon with B-17. 53 Fortress attacked and destroyed 3 planes on the ground. 1 B-17 has been shot down and 26 damaged.
Tomorrow I will launch 1. para rgt over Magwe. Once captured, I’ll transfer there some B.F. and some transport a/c, to jump to another northern base.
DEI
The bad news is that CVL Zuiho sunk on the 9th. She was at 89 sys on the 8th and only 7 hexes away from Palau.

SW Pac
CA Australia led 4 CL to shell Lunga. Only 1 Zero has been destroyed and little damages to the installations. All the 4 CL have been hit by coastal guns.
DEI
The shock attack of today reduced the fort from 5 to 3 in Palembang. Another little step towards victory.
While my troops are fighting in Palembang and Kai I. I’m giving some rest to my aircrews. Kai I. needs supplies, so I’m loading a couples of ships in Palau.
In Truk I have 3 infantry divisions, 1 infantry bde, 1 infantry regiment and some support units. They are all aboard ships. And in two weeks they will participate in the invasion of Port Moresby.
KB is now north of Brunei. She will refuel in Singapore and return to Truk.
Before starting I need to wait that Lunga become a 4-size afld.
I’m thinking to send CV Junyo and Hiyo, now in Truk, to be detached to the Aleutinians, with some escorts. My recon spotted a lot of naval movements in Dutch Harbor. I suppose that Chuck is planning something and since I don’t have any 4-size afld there, a couple of carriers will be useful.

Report of May 15th – 18th , 1942
Chuck had serious problems with the PC and so we stop the game. Now it’s resumed, but in the last days not much happened.
DEI
On the night of 16th my troops started to land in Kendari. I don’t have exact informations about the enemy garrison, but I should have enough force to conquer the base.
Australia
North of Derby I lost I-156, sunk by enemy DD.
Burma
At Akyab my two infantry divisions are still too tired to attack. Anyway they will start to bombard enemy lines.
Indian Ocean
Since no convoys have been spotted, I’ve decided to withdraw KB from the area.

The War is continuing
Report of May 19th – 21st , 1942
Burma
I unloaded the 15th Army HQ directly in Akyab, to support the future assault of the two infantry divisions there.
On the 21st my planes attacked the enemy base and shot down 10 enemy fighters without losses.
In the afternoon of the same day 108 allied bombers attacked Magwe, destroying the airfield. I lost also 3 Oscar, while Chuck lost 6 escorting Buffalo.
My two division launched an assault on the city, reducing the fort from 3 to 1. I will not occupy the city tomorrow, because my units are really distrupted.
DEI
In Palembang my troops reduced the fort down to 2, but the camapaign here is going too slow.
North Pac
