a problem?

Post by emorbius44 »

Hello;

I have a long running campaign e-mail game that has been going on since the game was released. I'ts in 5/43 right now. i just noticed on the air unit reinforcement track that the quanity of planes, pilots, etc are all zero. it used to have a number of planes listed if this was a unit not previously in the game. Is that a problem or bug? this is for the Japanese player.

thanks;

In earlier releases, the number of planes showed on the list. This number was whatever was in the editor. It did not correctly represent the number of actual planes that the group arrived with.
Now, the groups will arrive with however many planes can be drawn from the pool at the time of arrival.
This also stops a group from being stuck in Organizing forever just because it can't drawn enough planes from the pool.

Well, I just had a squadron arrive (previously withdrawn for 90 days) arrive with a full complement of aircraft despite the fact that there were none in the pool and the type has no replacement/production rate. I thought the squadron was supposed to arrive with only pilots in this case and must wait for enough planes of the upgrade type to accumulate.

What about the pilots? So far reinforcement units (i.e. not disbanded groups reforming) on track from the beginning of the game have arrived with trained pilots to varying degrees as opposed to units that were reformed after being disbanded and usually are made up of raw pilots in the 20-30 range. Is that still going to be the case? (I mean the Japanese player needs all the help he can get.LOL)
