Field goal or punt?

I was playing a computer controlled game and one of the teams had a fourth down inside the 30 yard line, and instead of kicking a field goal the AI had it punt.....Is this a bug because it did not make sense. I feel you have created a great game that is very competitive and adds realisim.

This is determined by the playbook field goal setting.  Open up a playbook and on the plays page you will find a spot I think to the right side and near the top where you change the field goal threshhold.  Its the distance a team has to be from the goal posts before a field goal will be attempt.  So if the setting is currently at 35 yards the team (if US rules) would have to be at the 25 yard line or inside to try a field goal.  For my pro playbooks I have the distance set at 42 I think, which would allow up to a 49 yard field goal attempt.  My college playbooks are set at thirty something.
