SO FAR GREAT RELEASE DAVID

Post by DONMVP »

Seems like player moving great at nice pace . Passing stats look better , and new play books that were made our working great . Played a cpu vs cpu game last night saw my first ever shutout with computer teams ever . Never on madden or sega games . Great game to a nail bitter was using 1960 oilers , vs 60 chargers in arcade mode . Final score 10 to 0 houston since was in arcade , the cpu`s used 3rd string qb , who put up descent stats . More of a typical 60`s game field position game . Both teams should have punted a couple times more instead of long field goals but can live with that .Only prob did change a couple graphics on stadium that i downloade and touched up other then that great job.

Glad you're enjoying it.

What do people think of the open field running changes? I personally think it's the single biggest improvement to the game. The animation is a little choppy (especially on low frame rate machines) as sometimes the player find himself in a occulation state. It's something I'm trying to smooth out, but I think it provides some excitement to the running game. Watching the ball carrier weave and dodge in around defenders is pretty neat [:)]

I'd have to agree, David. The running is far more dynamic and intuitive. While I certainly like the changes you've instituted as they pertain to the offense, what I've found as well is that it really makes the kick returns more lifelike as well. In R2, the returners would pretty much just plow into the oncoming coverage man. Now, if nothings there up the middle, the returner can string it out towards the sideline. It's brought Special Teams in as a true phase of the game, instead of just what happens when a drive ends.

All in all the new release goes a long way to making this into the game you'd envisioned and we'd been hoping for. I'm ecstatic.

So, in summation, as you're Canadian, and I'm Canadian, I'll keep it Canadian (and to all the non-Canadians, pardon the vulgarity) and say "Dave...

F--KIN' EH!!!"
It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all outta gum.
