PureSim Baseball 2007 Question

Post by moranacus »

I'm going to create my own baseball league with my own created teams and ball parks. I'm going to be using players from the
past and present on my team. My question is if a player played 10 years 1970 to 1979 and only had one good year (1975)
if I choose that year his game play will reflect those stats correct????

Since no one else has answered I will reply even though I am not 100% certain.

I beleive that when a player is imported from the database, more than one season is used to generate ratings. I think the game goes both forward and back at least a couple of seasons.

I can confirm DandricSturm's answer. I think it looks at the three-year average (though I vaguely recall Shaun saying "five"?) for his import year to determine his current ratings, and does some analysis of his career arc to determine his potential.
