Using PBEM Helper with TOAW 3?

Post by 88mmsurprize »

I've used pbem helper with Combat Mission very successfully. But I'm having trouble with toaw3. Has anyone used it with this game?

Not here at least. I've seen this PBEM helper program mentioned for the first time last week I think (was it over at SZO?)
I use my regular mail program (Thunderbird) to handle TOAW .pbl files and I can testify it's not specially complex or time-consuming, even with 10+ pbem games going with different opponents at any time.

The helper makes it even easier once it is set up correctly.

What is the PBEM Helper?[&:]

It's a great system - I used it exclusively when I was playing the CM series & would again without hesitation.  I've never tried it for anything else tho.

I use the pbem helper for combat mission, too. It is great, but I couldn´t use it for TOAWIII up to now.
It would  be great if somebody could give some hints.

It says it supports TOAW 1, You might see what the setting are for it in the .ini file, and modify them slightly.

If you want to post that portion of the .ini file, I may be able to point out what needs to be modified.

This is what I've set up. I've run a quick test and it seems to work. This won't open up the PBL file and type in your password for you but other than that it should be ok.
