UK ideas
1.pilot pool  - considering they have 360 pilots per month [8|]
2.fighter replacements
3.force Z in correct place  - somewhere south of singapore
4.land HQ at aden - it is metabase on lvl6 map
i will think about sth else

OMG, Nemo and Cid are posting like maniacs in their thread! Let me guess: they are "discussing" who has supreme authority over the Malaya landings?

Actually they have been having a huge row over Nemo's gaminess and Cid's tendency to be a control freak.[:D] Really. They are modelling the IJA and IJN commands well.[;)]

More 3" Morter Squads if they are to be used for Aussie Units as well - a LOT more

well if we discuss probable "what if" i would say that few defensive minefields would be great in Malayas and ceylon

Since we're playing RHS EOS, which is quite genereous to the Japanese player(s), every Allied player can request 7 (SEVEN) changes for his nation. Cid will review these requests for realism, and then integrate them into the mod before the PBEM starts.

Post your requests here, and do it soon, as there will be a DEADLINE:

Asking for leaders could be a good thing ?

Slim a year early perhaps or a few Brit Air COmmanders added......

Or ask for a modern DD flotilla i.e. a few tribals in place of some of the older RN DD's

Or maybe a CV which had ran aground while travelling to Singapore before war made its voyage to lets say Colombo safely.

I wouldn't ask for anything for China but I will support other propositions that seem reasonable to me. So let's make a list together.
Something to start with:
1. One or two Soviet air transport divisions at start (equipped with Li-2). These can be used to transport suppplies to China [;)] Also one more patrol regiment would be nice (24 PBN Nomad)
2. Bigger production of allied fighters.
3. Bigger allied pilot pools.
4. P-51B a year earlier.

A few ideas for your various wishlists ?

Doesnt US Player want to ask for a couple of the starting Engineer Bns/Base Forces to be forward deployed say to Fiji or New Cal so they can be rushed to places to build forts ?

Or move forward one of the West Coast BB's on a flag waving tour of Australia (say have Colorado in Brisbane....)

Higher Shipyard in Austrlia or NZ ?

Ask for a full tanker to be in SOPAC as Fuel is a major issue for US

Have Repulse continue to Norther Aus making it perhaps able to move to Rabaul early ?

Have the Dutch redeploy to increase forces at big airbases ?
Move a couple of Dutch units to Java/Sumatra ?

Try to move Dutch and Boise closer to Java so they could concentrate and operate against Japanese over reaching landings (basically try to position forces to accelerate formation of ABDA raiding TF's - you knwo Nemo will go in uncovered somewhere try to be ready to exploit it)

To be honest If i had a wishlist I would get the RAF to outfit the squadrons in malaya with MK II spits rather than Buffalos.... MK V spits began coming into service in May / June 1941 as i remember... perfectly possible to see a few of them in Malaya rather than being converted into air sea rescue spotters ... !

If Sid is unwilling to create the MK II spit just ask for Mk V's ...its just a chance in RAF policy rather than anything impossible !

Cheers Hipper

I saw on a TV special a couple of months ago that when Singapore was captured there were still Hurricanes in crates waiting to be assembled. I forget if they mentioned Spits as well , but definitely Hurricanes. A very small 'what if' to have them assembled and a squadron or two upgraded...

spitfire in malaya is out of reach

I have an idea about US fighters dislocation after PI fall
there are 2 directions - either OZ or India
i noticed i have under my command 2 Buffalos sqn based on australian pool and there are 2 US p-40b units in los angeles also under southeast asia
i can resign from these p-40b from West coast in favour of ANZAC command and will send buffalos south as soon as singapore will be no longer safe
this will offer 4 units to OZ
but i will be really weak on fighters so i offer to rebuild PI units in india

there are 6 fighter units in PI - 5 of them can reach india via chinase airfields
p-26 is short legged so can go to OZ

this way OZ will be strenghtened by 5 units / 2 fresh
and india by 5 / to rebuild

any questions ?

Ask MacArthur, I`m fine with the arrangements.

If we play with version 7, we can consider moving some USMC F4Fs to India in late 42

Ok guys, we have 6.40, this is the version (except for errata) that we are going to play. So we can let the dust off of this thread and start working [:'(]
