Wasnt a death star Sneer  [:D] was a single carrier TF with 2 Fleet and 2 Light carriers escorting about 8 mixed status CVE's (and one all important CVR !!!
 
Anyway he is getting plenty through my CAP now  - just limit yourselves to no more than 4 Fleet CV's per hex and limit those to 50% CAP and watch the enemy get through !!!

i doubt raverdave will limit himself after spanking he got in 42 and 43 [8|]
there are 4 TF on hex and it looks like there are more of them there  - i get name identification from my search units quite often
question is when he get enough courage to jump across the fence
looks like timor is his idee fix for winning this war

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 12/10/43
difficult to start
in last few weeks my lba was wiped from sky by enemy death star - weather and coordination rules prevented me from even penetrating enemy cap - losses counted in hundreds planes -my small CV force was shadowing second side of "fence"
this time it was ordered to stay north of makassar with reaction set to "0"
fujita was in charge
Raverdave crossed fence with death star and f***** commander went for a solo
nothing sunk but all heavily damaged and for sure will be killed next day
so looks like it is an end of japanese defence
it was inevitable - even if i estimated that spring 44 will be a death date and all i can say is that i knew that i will fail against corsairs but not in such way
defeating when other orders were given
pity
and great mourn day

wow, what high losses on both sides. well, I think high losses for the Liberators as above are a bit over-optimistic made by the game. for the game I think I should stay to B-17s. IR the japs never made such good results compared to the Luftwaffe.

if i have cannon armed fighters with good pilots and enemy is not escorted .... still they often trade 1:1
where was a reason US air force stopped daily raids until they could provide escort over germany

pool was zero 3 days after war started
write what screen and you will get it - until it shows sth confidential

Unortunately for Sneer, Raver is good at cleaning up damaged cvs after fights.

Raverdave manouvers hard with land units in east india
about 70 unts counted - 50 on main assault axis
he abandoned main railway to Asanol as it was too heavily defended and moves to Benares assuming he will be there much faster than my reinforcement troops which have long way south
interesting battle to come

i'm surprised to find out that over 50% of my shattered carrier group's planes are in good shape - especially fighter units are well
something bad hangs in the air as I can almost smell it
good info on the other hand is my industrial situation
i'm heavily surprised that it can be so strong at this stage of war
no fuel / supply shortages
nice resources/oil reserves
huge stockpiles of war material everywhere
huge plane pools - only pilot quality is nightmare - i have not enough time to train them as i would like so some units are 40-50 exp

question is if i have outstanding economic results should i have so poor training program ???

Seperate question was such an outstanding economic position possibe ? The game is as it is - e.g. engines remain the same for all time so the same engine in a nate can be stockpiled and used for an advanced plane in 43. Were you forced to scrap all old engines how would the economy look ?
 
I think the game needs to be played as is or else the what ifs will make us all mad !!!
