Staggering CAP Alititudes?

Post by tocaff »

Does having CAP at staggered altitudes improve your coverage against attack? In actual combat this was done but in UC will it work well or is higher better?

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

I have limited experience at this but I think the staggering of CAP has the most effect against a human opponent since they are likely to alter the altitudes at which there bombers come in at where as the AI sticks with the same altitiude (6000 I think). So as long as your CAP is slight above this you should be in good shape. Others with more experience may have differing opinions

btaft is correct. Have your CAP slightly higher than his bombers and you should have some knocking the enemy out of the skies.
Make sure you rotate your fighters though otherwise your're going get high rate of fatigue and then you have got big troubles ahead, as your men won't fight so well.
R+R is very important. Have fun hunting.
