Reassurance over China please

Hi

Am a realtive new comes to the list but a long time Wif player. Have been attempting to read through the thread about China but not been able to find an answer to a concern I have. It's simply that Wif is an excellent game because it is so balanced, however if China by being on a European scale map makes it to easy to knock over then this balance is going to be undone.

From the beta testers could you reassure please that China is not always conquered anc conquered quickly on the new map.

My concern is based solsely on the counter mixs etc being designed for the Wif map.

Since beta testers cannot remark on MWiF due to the NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement ) I will restrict my comments on what I found during the CWiF beta.
 
Various options (Partisans in particular), the weather zones, and the number of available HQ units limit the Japanese. It takes a planned effort for the Japanese to conquer China.

China on the European scale map is a delight to play and becomes an active and mobile theater rather than the more static one in carboard WiFFE. The new map also includes more cities in China to enable supply over a much larger area. Some of those cities are added by an option. Japan, if not at war with Russia, can choose to build for a land war but has to be very careful not to be overextended in China when they need to pay attention to the Pacific areas.

No no, I agree with you Mzlin, and that's why I do not comment about this.
NDA restrict my comments too.
The China balance was discussed to death in another thread already.

Looking forward to the release and thought it unlikely that balance would be serioulsy affected just wanted to check.

in cardboard WiF 'play balance in China' is still like a lot of things in WiF ... you will find players who claim the Chinese never have a chance while others say China can't be conquered. I've heard both comments in the last three years. It's all in how you play the game.

Bingo. Trees hit the nail on the head here. Was the same in cardboard WIF for me and in CWIF as well.....
