Book review for scenario designers

Post by Michael Peck »

The Military Book Review has just posted a book review of Men of Steel, which chronicles the 1st SS Panzer Corps in the Ardennes and Lake Balaton offensives in 1944-45. There's a lot of information here for scenario designers.

The review can be found at http://www.themilitarybookreview.com/html/MenofSteel.html

Thanks, Michael.

All lovers of books and history should visit Mike's site. It is an excellent source for the gamer. Nice job.

I saw that one on sale just yesterday. Good review. I'm getting it...WB

http://www.cassbooks.com this has a bunch of books about russia and their military. (not to mention a bunch of neat books period) David Glantz is the editor of a series of books on russia, and he is an awesome resource on the red army and has tons of books available through this website.

Glantz's Kursk book is very good, as is his Don to the Dnepr volume. You can find reviews at:

Glantz's book on Kursk isn't just good. It's great. I've been working on some kursk scenarios lately, and between Lost Victories, Kursk by Glantz, the Sov General Staff Study of Kursk, and that awesome website I've had very few difficulties finding information.
