Interface/Map Question

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

in the old game, you could do so

clicking on Targets, you can select a target type, and on the map it would show only that target type

which can be done while just looking around or during bomb raid plotting

here is part of one, clicking on list targets, and then Chem, brings up just the Chem Targets based on map size, if you now click on one, it will give you the range to it, and or you could also select it as the target for your raid if you were in plotting mode

Hi,
speaking of Filters: Will the selection screen of the intercept option include a filter (maybe optional) that can selectively filter night fighters during the day and vice verse (i.e. day fighters during the night) ?

ahhhh

the hassle is, you can still launch NF's during the day or day fighters during the night

best way to try and filter for this is to click on delay and sort the screen that way, NF's during the day are on a 63 minute delay from the time you tell them to take off until they do

I can put that on a wish list setting, but not sure if we can get to it anytime soon

Note you just mention fighters Sarge, what about bombers? Can you fly the Bomber Command's heavies during the day, as was done historically during Overlord and after, and can they take off during dusk to arrive over the enemy coast during darkness?
While the battles the British fight may differ in the widest possible ways, they invariably have two common characteristics – they are always fought uphill and always at the junction of two or more map sheets.

as of right now

BC is set to fly only at night

Bomber units that change planes to BC types, could fly during the day (say 2 Group or MED)

ideas and plans are in place to try and have a way to have BC be able to fly during the day, just not worked out yet

Hi,

sure theres is a use for night fighters during the day. I was asking for an optional (switchable) toggle for this filter. But there is no use for day fighters during the night.

OT: My destroyer staffel suddenly changed to night fighter ? Is this a feature or am I the victim of a computer glitch ??? What can I do to change the poor staffel ?

well, the GE did use day fighters at night, but they not too great, but when placed over Cities on patrol, they can get some kills, landing is a pain though :)

do you know which unit it is ? what plane type did it change to ??

depending on the OOB, those may be Ju 88 C6a which is a day fighter, but....

Hi,
exactly it is Ju-88 C-6a which changed to He-219 (11./ZG-26?). Is this meant to be ? If so I shall live with it. (This is maybe a to do. Tell the axis/allied player what is on purpose).

Thanks in advance

Hmmm
that may of been a linking issue, the starting plane was linked to the wrong upgrade type, by the guy who set up the OOB
