Semi OT - Carriers at War Beta Preview

Post by PBYPilot »

Which raises a question:

Now that SSG and Matrix are business buddies, what are the chances that Carriers at War could be adapted as an operational level layer for WitP, where WitP carrier battles could be fought in a Carriers at War like environment and the results returned to WitP for inclusion in the campaign?

Hmmmmm?

The chances are a little greater than 2-1 (against) but you never know.

Well, given that Matrix and 2-by-3 are doing this anyway with the new UV/CS-hybrid, I'm thinking the chances of what PBYPilot is describing occurring is about 0%...

T,

I agree with you 100%, but I was trying to be positive instead of my usually negative self.

I need more beer.

even better, why noy ask Ian Trout, Roger Keating etc. from SSG to write an INTELLIGENT AI for WitP?? SSG AI is often very good (relatively speaking of course).

Nothing wrong with the A.I. in this game just needs a little shove in the right direction. [:)]

Yeah, you guys are right. Could never happen. To suggest that Matix would take advantage of their strategic business relationships to put together developers with complementary products is just silly. Why that might increase the value and visibility of both products.

And I'm sure 2x3 has nothing better to do than re-invent the wheel and add a operational level carrier combat system to their games. And I'm just as sure writing an interface between the WitP and Carriers at War would be much more complicated and expensive than writing a whole new game system.

Why it's almost as silly a suggestion as the idea of Matrix licensing the game rights to a best selling novel of one of their game developers.

Forget I mentioned it.
