AAR up at The Wargamer

Post by sterckxe »

Hi,

Just a heads-up. The main page of The Wargamer features an AAR written by Bill Krieger

This is by one of the DDTers correct? What is his Matrix Forum nick?

{ FYI - For those unfamiliar with our internal organizations, we break down into three main groups. The developers such as Dave and Paul ... (they build things) The beta testers such as myself and Eddy ... (we break things) The Data Design Team members ... (make maps, make estabs [TOE], and make scenarios and much more) }

The DDTers are very special people as they work with both the past and the future. The past (bringing history to life in the game engine) and the future (they start working on new series offerings way before anyone else does). They are perhaps less known than the developers and testers, but without them it would be simply a game engine with unrealized potential.
2021 - Resigned in writing as a 20+ year Matrix Beta and never looked back ...

That was a well written, insightful and entertaining AAR. Thanks for the heads-up to the link. The 3D Google Earth references certainly provide a capital insight into the lay of the land. I'm sure it's on the wishlist with a TT**** assigned. Hopefully with continued success of the series it may one day come to fruition.

As far as the battle outcome is concerned, not only did our hapless commander not receive his shiny new Maybach, I'm sure he longs for his old Kübelwagen as he pedals past it on his rusty bicycle.

[:D] <G> that was cruel. I'm sure some poor medico would have given him a lift. [;)]

Rooster: That would be a great ending!
A cruel irony indeed.

When I read the snippet you quoted from my post, only then did I realize I wrote "peddles" in place of "pedals". There's a lot to be said for literacy. [;)]
